Associated Rigging – your trusted service partner in Cape Town

Southern African rigging specialists

Situated just outside the iconic Royal Cape Yacht Club in Cape Town, South Africa, Associated Rigging specialises in yacht rigging, spar maintenance, consultation, and servicing all makes and classes of rigging for sailing yachts.

Servicing many international yachts visiting Cape Town annually, their services regularly extend past South African borders. They can supply a custom solution for your yacht through partnerships and service agency agreements for most international brands of rigging components.

The company was established in August 1998 at premises close to the Cape Town Harbour. Warren Fraser, the owner and manager, trained at and later ran the rigging department of Sparcraft Masts in Cape Town before moving away to start his own business.

“As a family-run business, we believe in quality service and doing it right the first time”, he proudly states.

In August 2011, premises became available inside Cape Town Harbour, and the company relocated to their new home just outside Royal Cape Yacht Club. The close proximity to the V & A Waterfront means they are centrally located to assist visiting superyachts with yacht rigging services.

While being physically based in central Cape Town, regular trips are made to other nearby harbours for repairs and maintenance. The local Cape areas include Hout Bay, Simonstown, Gordon’s Bay, Langebaan, Saldanha and Port Owen.   They also support their clients in the South African ports of Knysna, Port Elizabeth, St Francis Bay, Richards Bay and Durban. They have also provided professional services in Rio de Janeiro, Luderitz, Walvis Bay, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Seychelles and Busan, Korea.

Over the years, they have forged successful rigging partnerships with trusted agents, notably in Richards Bay, Port Elizabeth, Mauritius, Seychelles and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
